Collaborata CEO and Co-Founder Jimmy Zollo has been named to the “GRIT Future List” that honors innovators in consumer insights. Established in 2019, the “GRIT Future List” recognizes a select group of insights leaders, all nominated by peers.
Zollo co-founded Collaborata in 2017, making it the first platform to enable clients to share the costs and results of original, expert-led consumer insights projects. Collaborata works with some of the world’s largest and most innovative brands and organizations, including Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Reebok, AARP, the Truth Initiative, the NBA, New York Life, Disney, National Geographic, and Hulu.
Zollo developed his passion and enthusiasm for innovation while driving initial growth at GrubHub, one of Chicago’s most successful tech startups ever.
“Facilitating collaboration among major brands can be a delicate process, requiring some behavioral change on the part of collaborators. The GFL honor further validates that brands can gain more through collaboration,” said Zollo.
“Collaborata’s cost-sharing model enables projects of ambitious scale developed jointly with full-service research agencies and subject-matter experts. The result: transformative projects that enlighten and inspire organizations to better serve consumers. By bringing the sharing economy to the insights industry, Collaborata is eruptive, not disruptive. We aim to help fund more research by reducing redundancy, driving down costs and fostering collaboration.”

These honorees are nominated by peers and selected by a judging panel of top insights professionals. The full list of honorees can be found in the GRIT Report.

“Perhaps more than ever before, GRIT is emblematic of both the need and the challenge of the market research industry. The need to provide clear direction for key stakeholders via the research process only continues to grow in importance, and part of the way to do that is via looking at trends over time. However, the survey as an instrument, especially a large tracker like GRIT, is becoming increasingly challenging to field.” Read more from Executive Editor, Lenny Murphy.
